Take time out of daily life and invest in yourself as an artist. This retreat offers you undisturbed nature, solitude, time for yourself in tranquility, or just a place to make a mess in peace in the studio.
Our residency provides you with a comfortable and equipped shepherd’s hut to live in, and a studio with a wood burning stove and plenty of natural light. Book yourself in for a one week residency in the beautiful Cornwall countryside and enjoy the peaceful environment of Trenince Farm.
Facilities:
You will find the Shepherd’s Hut is fully equipped for all your needs, with hot water, bedding and linen, and comfortable spaces to relax and dine. The kichen has cookingware and crockery. Your views are of the stunning Cornish countryside. There is also a nearby shop and pub in the village of Luxulyan if you wish to explore further, and famous Cornish natural landmarks on your doorstep, including beautiful Helman Tor.
For Materials:
You can order materials in advance for delivery from our local art suppliers, or drive 15 minutes to nearby Bodmin.
Location and Transport:
The nearest mainline train stations are Bodmin, Lostiwthiel or Par.
Luxulyan has a local train that is daily that stops on request.
